In the heart of South Beach, this destination hotel is just steps from the white sands of the ocean. Simeone Deary of Chicago recently undertook the recent 50 million dollar renovation to add signature gold and painterly strokes to elevate the beach vibe into a luxury experience. Out Tailfeathers light awaits visitors at the entry of an event space adding elevation and artistic flair to the elegance of the room.

We are so proud to have another successful year of creating beautiful, inspiring work for your projects. Check out our project highlights for 2019 including our video project spotlights. This year we took things to a new level at our first BDNY and secured our (second!) win at NEWH Product Runway! Our CEO Carey Schuster participated in industry events including HD Elevate and was featured as “The Multitasker” in Hospitality’s Design’s Perspectives Interviews.
We introduced TWO new collections including our showstopping Ombre Experiment which showcases new techniques in digital and 3D printing. Some cosmetic changes to our website opened up a whole new way to look at YGD and featured more guides and resources to help your creative process. We were featured in a variety of publications this year and even got a shout our from the original G.O.A.T on Design Milk!

Located in the heart of downtown Nicollet Mall this new multi-res high rise was built to take full advantage of the views, dining, and shopping experiences Minneapolis offers. This custom piece was built to hang in the lobby of the residential tower at 365 Nicollet and is a unique sculpture that reflects the pristine and modern look of the space. Steel rods were welded together and strung with steel cable from mirror composite ceiling discs to create a geometric jumble of shapes that speaks order to chaos.

We had an amazing time at BDNY this past week in NY. The air was electric with design innovation and we were honored to be included as part of that buzz. We also had the added bonus of getting to visit with 2 of our favorite YGD designers Dasomm Choi and Kristina Albu. It was their first time to NY and the city provided loads of inspiration for our upcoming collection. We talked all about their design experience along with CEO Carey Schuster's as well as what's coming next, all from the amazing penthouse suite of the Ludlow Hotel (stay tuned for more!) In the meantime, check out our bold little booth on Interior Design Magazine's BDNY 2019 Minute with CEO Carey Schuster above and be sure to contact us to learn more about The Ombre Experiment!

Managing money means being flexible so it's no wonder the shape of the parallelogram was used to reflect the adaptive culture of Baird Asset Management in NYC. It’s also no surprise that Gensler NY was the design firm of choice for their tricky workplace lobby space. The unique length of the room required flexibility and a little ingenuity to create a piece that maintained Gensler's high design standards while also filling up the length of the room. Yellow Goat's custom Cirrus fixture is a key player in adapting to the demanding shape and also reflecting the client’s key request that the fixture artistically reflect the parallelogram look of Baird’s logo without being too literal. Gensler worked directly with YGD to fulfill both requests…

Project: American Kennel Club, Museum of the Dog
Designed by Gensler NYC
Fabricated by Yellow Goat Design
Anything is PAWSIBLE in New York City, including the opening of a brand new dazzling museum devoted entirely to DOGS! The American Kennel Club's Museum of the Dog has relocated to a prime spot at 101 Park Ave in New York City and Yellow Goat Design has a prominently placed "doggie in the window" for all of NYC to see! Working with Gensler NYC on the design, Yellow Goat and Gensler went through several iterations (including mesh and metal rods) before settling on the iconic wireframe pup you see placed strategically at the forefront of the museum. The dog’s position gazing out of the window represents both the nature of dogs and stands as a beacon welcoming visitors to the museum. The powder coated frame can be lit with LED's to change the color and the mood (just like the empire state building!)

A Little Magic was involved in creating these fixtures for Pimco in Washington, DC. They may look like your everyday design at first glance but when you reach the right angle...ta da! You’ll see the floor number magically appear in gold! Working with Wright Heerema Architects we created golden rods surrounded by suspended crystals creating the illusion of a waterfall and topped off with a mirror composite ceiling plate. See the magic happen in the video below....
